GENERAL INFO

Kype Angling Club is open to male and female members.

Junior members need to have reached the age of 12 by the 15th March in the year of joining. Anyone under the age of 16 requires to be accompanied by an adult.

The fishing hut is basic.

There is a separate, single toilet for members. The key is retained on a hook in the fishing hut. Please return the key after use.

Waders or strong waterproof footwear are beneficial in damp and wet conditions, particularly if you wish to fish round the Reservoir from the bank. Wading is not permitted.

Under certain conditions, the midge makes an appearance. A proprietary cream or a midge net is recommended in these conditions.

At the present time, there is not a boat suitable for angling on the Reservoir. There is no objection to using a small boat, providing life jackets are worn. This is a mandatory requirement. Anglers go afloat at their own risk.

Catch and release is ONLY permitted by full members of Kype Angling Club. It is NOT permitted on a Day Ticket or Guest Ticket.

Fishing times are displayed within the fishing hut.

There is parking for vehicles at the Reservoir. You are asked to use ONLY that area. Do not block the access road or any gates. All vehicles are parked at the owners own risk.

There is a 15 m.p.h. speed limit on the access road due to live stock and farm vehicles. Please drive slowly.

Members and visiting anglers are asked to record their name and arrival time in the logbook provided in the fishing hut. Catch and leaving time must be recorded before departure. Please record nil returns.

Would all members and visitor please co-operate with the local land-owners, Water Wardens and Scottish Water Officials. A little effort goes a long way.

Enjoy your day angling. Dress sensibly for outdoor weather. Please be polite and courteous.
